Prime Minister Narendra Modi has undertaken 21 journeys overseas since 2019 and over Rs 22.76 crore was spent on these visits, the federal government mentioned on Thursday.
The President undertook eight journeys overseas and an quantity of over Rs 6.24 crore was spent on these journeys since 2019, Minister of State for Exterior Affairs V Muraleedharan mentioned in a written reply to a query in Rajya Sabha.

Whereas the President undertook eight visits overseas, the PM undertook 21 journeys since 2019. Throughout this era, Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar undertook 86 visits overseas.
Since 2019, the prime minister has visited Japan thrice, and the US and the UAE twice.
Among the many president’s visits, seven out of the eight journeys had been undertaken by Ram Nath Kovind, whereas present president Droupadi Murmu visited the UK final September.
